We absolutely loved Reynolds Landscape. We had lots of different companies quote our backyard renovation and Reynolds was by far the most professional and organized from the very beginning. They gave us a detailed quote (multiple pages) of everything we had discussed broken down into categories and then were true to their word on price and schedule. We completely gutted our backyard, terraced it, and added a deck, patio, fountain, gas fire pit, and trees/plants. The Reynolds team scheduled all the subcontractors to get in the deck, gas lines, electrical, and irrigation and handled the whole construction in a timely manner without anyone feeling rushed. We have a small yard so it was a coordinated effort to get everything in through a tiny gate. Reynolds Landscape adjusted the original design based on HOA/city rules. They provided excellent judgment on the placement of different elements to function in the space. Their designer went to multiple places with me to pick out plants, rocks, a fountain, etc and was excellent at guiding me away from things that would be difficult to maintain. I have a black thumb and will kill a plant if at all possible, but she was fabulous at helping me find things I love that I also can't kill. I feel like they gave my project the time it needed to come out above expectations. The rock landscaping specifically is a work of art that they readjusted over the course of many days to work fabulously in relation to the other elements (the fountain, fire pit, patio). They also fixed a lot of issues that our old backyard possessed. Specifically, they suggested terracing the yard into 3 distinct sections (deck, yard, patio) so that it's no longer a hazard to run down. They replaced the soggy, mossy grass with the correct drainage/soil to make grass work in the same area. In conclusion, I have worked with many different companies to do projects around my home, and few live up to my high expectations. Reynolds is the only one that has surpassed them.

We had a great experience! The crew was on time every day, polite and responsive to our needs and concerns, and was willing to work with our ideas. The scope of our project was too large to do in one year so we had the crew back the following summer to connect the new upper patio to the lower one by means of a staircase designed with the same material and a dry riverbed on the east side of our home. It looks better now than I ever imagined it could. We would have them back in a heartbeat! Thanks, Jim and Crew!!

Jim and his team did a fabulous job transforming our entire property. We inherited ivy, over grown laurels, dead shrubs, and fairly steep slopes when we purchased our home 7 years ago. We’ve always struggled with the space and as our kids got older really wanted a place for them to run and play at home (all the more critical with COVID restrictions). Jim listened to our wants and needs from the space and completely transformed the entire property! It has something for everyone, a pea patch, fire pit, and long sloping lawns, all accented with beautiful craftsmanship from his team and their artistic skills to turn our vision into reality. We can’t say enough great things about how it was to work with Jim and his team! We will enjoy our space for years to come!

The guys who did the actual work were amazing. Leanne brought books full of every type plants to help us decide what would look best in all the planting areas. We have used Reynold’s Landscaping for outdoor projects since we bought our first home in Redmond in 1996. Now we live in Woodinville, and we keep going back because not only is Jim and his team professional, personable, and easy to work with, but the quality of the work cannot be beaten! Jim has the ability to visualize the finished product during the design phase. For example, I did not think there was any way we would be able to create a “room-like feel” in our vast backyard by installing a lower flagstone patio with a stone fire pit, surrounded by beautiful beds with boulders. But that is exactly how it turned out — a gorgeous outdoor gathering spot that is well-defined but blends perfectly with the surrounding lawn and trees. He does amazing things!

Despite this project being in high season for landscaping work, Jim Reynolds (company owner) was very responsive to my online inquiry, and I had an estimate appointment just a few days later. As Jim and I walked my small lot, we talked about how I wanted to use the space - not only what I wanted it to look like, but how I wanted it to feel. Jim was very knowledgeable about plants as well as hardscapes. We discussed everything from ambient environmental sounds and angles of light at different seasons to growth rates for various trees and the best plants for winter color. Jim's designer worked carefully with me on both hardscape design and plant selection. I had some fairly specific ideas about what I wanted, and she beautifully incorporated those into the design.We established a start date, and Reynolds was able to begin a couple of days early. The foreman for our project was just outstanding to work with. He was quickly responsive via email, text, or phone, and kept in contact with me at every step of the process. He kept me informed about how we were doing in terms of schedule, and how the current day's work had gone. He explained in advance what would be happening the next day. When I had a last-minute need for a tweak of the design, Jim worked closely with me and we had a resolution within hours. One day during construction I overheard Jim come by just to check in to see how things were going and if anything was needed.
That level of professionalism and engagement was what I experienced with every person on Jim's team - respect, transparency, clear communication, and fun. Truly a pleasure to work with.

Wow! Total backyard transformation! They nailed it. I had a two-tier backyard that had about a 5-6 foot drop in the middle of my house, with an old unusable deck off the top section and an old concrete slab patio in the lower section. To top it off, there was no walkway between the upper and lower sections. Reynolds Landscape provided a wonderful design that included putting in fresh paver patios connected with natural stone steps.Reynolds Landscape was super responsive from first contact to final sign-off. We had big ambitions but also had a budget to work within. They did a great job communicating and adapting the plans to fit within what we could ultimately do and made us feel confident that we would get a great space. We are thrilled to have a really beautiful space that we can use for years to come. Jim and his team did an amazing job. This was a pretty massive project and they absolutely crushed it.
