We have used Reynold’s Landscaping for outdoor projects since we bought our first home in Redmond in 1996. Now we live in Woodinville, and we keep going back because not only is Jim and his team professional, personable, and easy to work with, but the quality of the work cannot be beaten! Jim has the ability to visualize the finished product during the design phase. For example, I did not think there was any way we would be able to create a “room-like feel” in our vast backyard by installing a lower flagstone patio with a stone fire pit, surrounded by beautiful beds with boulders. Jim and his entire crew are abosolutely top-notch – Angie's List Grade 'A'!
The short version:Jim and his entire crew (office, design, and landscape/implementation) are absolutely top-notch. We did a pretty thorough overhaul of our entire yard which included new concrete patios/walkways, a boulder-strewn courtyard, and some gorgeous vegetable beds in a very non-traditional area. Throughout the entire process, we felt comfortable with Jim's knowledge, his professionalism, and his ability to direct a crew and other subs. They were on-time, on-budget and everyone we dealt with was friendly, fun, professional, and hard-working. We really can't recommend them enough, and most importantly, we trust them. I would hire Reynolds Landscape again in an instant and have been telling all my friends about their work.
Long version: My husband and I can't say enough great things about Reynolds Landscaping. We just finished a complete remodel of the interior and exterior of our home using many different contractors, and Jim's outfit was far and away the most professional, courteous, and reliable of the bunch. When we set out to have our landscaping revived we didn't know anyone in the industry. We were really taking a chance based on reviews, and we're SO glad we did.
Jim responded to our online query immediately and set up a meeting with us to talk about our needs. He was clearly knowledgeable about plants and hardscape options and suggested a lot of great ideas right off the bat. We had some definite ideas as well concerning the usability and layout of our property, and Jim listened closely and checked in with us frequently to make sure everything was on track.
They scheduled us for late August and actually started early. They were realistic with us about the timeline, and we were so appreciative of that. They stayed on time and the crew communicated with us all along the way to make sure we knew what was happening next. Speaking of the crew - the foreman was AMAZING! Clearly takes a lot of pride in his work, and he's also great about communicating changes and asking questions to make sure we were in lockstep on the design throughout the entire project. The entire crew was at our house early every single day. We truly felt like we were being made a priority. They were also all very nice and fun to talk to, and our neighbors both commented on how courteous The Reynolds' crew were in terms of parking their vehicles.
Jim was great about the budget as well - he was transparent the entire way through and really listened to us when we were explaining our priorities for the space. He never got us to try to spend more and was great at offering up alternatives or giving us the benefit of his knowledge regarding where we could likely get away with spending less.
After starting the project, it became clear that there are a ton of variables to think about when creating a beautiful landscape. Jim, Wilmer, and the crew stay very flexible and it's obvious that their experience and knowledge are critical to tackling any design challenges (while keeping in mind the timeline and priorities) that crop up while the project is underway. With the rest of the subcontractors working on my house, I felt like I had to micromanage every single move and get ahead of every single thing that could go wrong. With Jim and Wilmer I didn't have to do that. They inspired me to trust in their judgment and they made the right choice, every time, for our property.
Simply put: Jim Reynolds and his crew are good, trustworthy people doing beautiful, quality work within realistic budgets and timelines. This is a really hard combination to find and we feel really lucky to have found it in Reynolds Landscape. Keep up the great work, guys!

I contacted Jim Reynolds in October 2014 when I found his reviews on Angie's List. After several meetings with Jim, a plan was put into place and our project was started at the end of January 2015. The job was completed by the end of February 2015. My husband and I have worked with several contractors over our years of remodeling. We have NEVER been so impressed with a contractor and his crew. My parents live with us and our dad uses a walker so I was very concerned that the paver blocks were set firmly and smoothly for his safety and comfort while entering and exiting the front door. My dad has no problems maneuvering over the pavers! We were not disappointed in any way with Jim and his crew. They were masters at their craft which became apparent on the first day. Their attention to detail exceeded mine! Additional people were part of this job, Leanne worked on the plant choices, and Dan redesigned our sprinkler system. Everyone did an excellent job. Jim redid our backyard/patio area last summer…not particularly a huge job but it did completely change (huge improvement) the feel of the yard. I would definitely hire him again. Jim was detailed in the bid so I knew what I was getting for my money. He was also willing to work with me regarding elements of the job I could do myself to cut the cost. The crew was clean (as clean as you can be pushing dirt and rocks around), courteous, and timely. There was one cost “overrun” if that is what you want to call it…the patio ended up a bit more cement than was estimated…but that was pretty minor in the big picture. In the end, the final cost was very close to the estimate. I think Jim and his crew have a great sense of design, are very professional, and are easy to work with. Steve & Karen – Woodinville

Impressed with her knowledge of what works best in a PNW landscape design. Just a great partner through the process.
Jovanny and the rest of the on-site team were also really awesome. They were super professional and careful, worked really quickly, and tidied up every night before they left. I always felt like they were looking after the yard and homesite here like it was their own. Impressed that they went the extra mile on the gate and fixed a few odd things that popped up. The pathway on the side of the house looks great, nice and level, with no wobbles and curves perfectly. Jovanny also took the time to answer my (probably dumb) questions and explain what the work entailed each day. Great crew and would have them back anytime.
Your irrigation specialist, Justin, also did a great job. He explained how everything worked, was super professional and careful with good attention to detail.
All around, we’re super happy. The end result is awesome, and we’re already planning things we want to do in the new yard come spring and summer next year. We’ve already had a few neighbors inquire about work so we’ve passed along your info (and told them to move fast since it sounds like you are booking up)!
