"The beauty of nature inspired me. The carelessness of our culture bothered me."

Our Landscape Philosophy

“Sustainable” is a word we hear a lot these days; it has often shifted from a vital practice to an overused marketing tool. At Reynolds Landscape, my goal is to practice environmental stewardship as an innate habit rather than a sales pitch.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, I have been inspired by the raw beauty of the Pacific Northwest for as long as I can remember. Growing up hiking the Cascades and Olympic Mountains, I developed a deep reverence for our local environment—studying the natural sculpture of hillsides and the flow of mountain brooks. This lifelong appreciation drives our commitment to protecting the natural beauty of every property we touch.

Our philosophy focuses on "The Intelligent Use of Nature™." This is the conscious application of nature's beauty to functional human spaces. Whether your aesthetic is natural, traditional, or modern, our goal is to create a landscape that looks as if it were always meant to be part of the environment.

We practice ecological balance and long-term sustainability by:

  • Sculpting terrain to solve drainage and erosion challenges naturally.
  • Utilizing natural stone, slate, and boulders for pathways and patios.
  • Maintaining a horticultural commitment to native Northwest plants.
  • Salvaging and recycling concrete, sod, and soil on-site.
  • Reusing organic material and wood to create nutrient-rich compost.
  • Using custom-mixed organic topsoil for optimal plant health.

With an intimate knowledge of the Snohomish and King County environment, we work with nature, not against it. Our talented installers build every project with passion, ensuring your garden gets better with age.
